Cinnamon Bread...

Inilah Cinnamon Bread yang dah siap, tunggu nak dipotong aje...


Hari Selasa kelmarin, kita panggang ayam untuk lauk tengahari. Tau ajelah bila dah panggang ayam, bau semerbak melekat satu rumah sampai ke petang!

Dah rebus pandan, dah sembur pewangi rumah eh... tak nak jugak hilang baunya. Masuk pukul 3.00 petang kita dah naik mabuk. Tak boleh jadik, mesti kena bake something.

Klik-klik sikit aje. Key words : simple breads sebab konon-konon nak buat roti. Terjumpalah resipi ni kat cooksrecipe.com. Nama aje Cinnamon Bread tapi sebenarnya teksture dan resipinya lebih kepada cake.

Dah tu, semua bahan main boh campur aje sekaligus, tuang dan masuk oven. Ah... memang resipi cara kitalah ni. Ada pulak magic ingredient, cinnamon! Apa lagi... jom buat kek eh roti?

Cinnamon Bread

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk*
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

*To make sour milk, add milk to 1 tablespoon white vinegar to measure 1 cup.

Preheat oven to 350*F (175*C). Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Set aside.

Measure all ingredients in order given in large mixing bowl. Beat with electric mixer for 3 minutes.

Pour into prepared pan and smooth the surface. Sprinkle with topping and using a metal spatula, cut in with a light swirling motion to give a marbled effect.

Bake for about 50 minutes or until tested done when a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. After 10 minutes, remove from pan to wire rack to cool.

Topping
1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter, softened.
Combine all ingredients until crumbly.



Kita takdelah buat marble effect tu. Cuma tabur-tabur aje toppingnya. Bila siap, jadi ler tanah retak effect ha ha ha... Takpelah, janji sedap makan dan rumah bau wangi semula kan...
